Blog 12: November 23-27

Thank you, parents for participating in ASCOT's Loy Krathong celebration on Monday. The children really enjoyed watching the concert and helping float the krathong in the EY pool and I really enjoyed seeing everyone dressed up!

This week we have been exploring spatial relationships by doing lots of puzzles and playing matching games. Our learning goals include, to be able to successfully fit shapes into spaces on jigsaw puzzles and to be able to match parts of objects that fit together. Our class made puzzles by painting blank wooden puzzle boards and stamping cookie cutters and black paint on top.

Our class has also been learning about the celebration of Christmas in time for our Early Years Christmas concert. We have been watching videos from last year's concert to get a better idea of  what it will look like performing on a stage in front of our friends and families. We have read about the tradition of having a Christmas tree with lights and a star, and made one for out class. Thank you to all parents who have sent in a wrapped book as a gift to your child from "Santa" this year. I know they will enjoy opening them.
