Our final week of the
transportation unit has been lots of fun and full of crafts. Students used stencils of transportation
vehicles and painted with sponges.
They
also made paper plate cars, using their cutting and gluing skills. We also made steering wheels to use in
imaginative play to drive around. We
will keep the wheels at school over the holidays to play outside when we return
by drawing roads with chalk.
Students have also enjoyed having
imaginative play in our classroom boat, going fishing and exploring with their
friends on the open sea!
Ring around the Rosie is a popular song to sing too, especially the falling down part. Students even give it a try in the soft play room sometimes.
During cutting practice, peach and I-Aun made crowns with a teacher's help.
Taj made an ultra-man arm band.
Taj had a teddy bear picnic after finished the puzzle.
Then he invited some dinosaurs to come too!
Taj and Peach worked together cooperatively to finish the puzzle.
This Friday we had our Early Years Water
Play day where all the students came outside together and had a chance to take
part in a variety of activities. From digging
through ice to find treasures, play-washing clothes, giving babies a bath, making bubbles, dinosaurs in a swamp, marble toss into a wishing well, building boats, water
crafts and much more. It was a big
success and the students had a great time.
