Blog 10: November 9-13

Thank you, parents for your enthusiastic participation in ASCOT's Book Week. I hope you all had a chance to attend the book fair and do some extra reading at home. Our focus book for the week was, The Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. In learning about The Hungry Caterpillar, we talked about feeling hungry, feeling full, some of our favorite foods and how some foods are healthier than others. We also talked about the life cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly as we went on nature walks outside and watched some awesome nature videos. We will learn more about bugs in our upcoming, minibeasts theme. Here are some photo highlights for the week:

All of Early Years has been hard at work preparing for the Christmas Concert, which will take place on December 10 at 9 AM in the secondary gym. Please note that nursery has been asked to wear red trousers/skirt and a red t-shirt/long-sleeved top, or a red dress. Our teacher and TAs are hard at work making props for our performances. You can help at home by singing along with our two songs!
