Everyone's Geckos look great on our Jungle display in the Early Year's Hallway. We say hello to our geckos each time we walk by to go to the Library.
Our “Plants and Animals” Unit has been going very well. We learnt about many jungle animals- Tigers, Snakes, Monkeys, Gorillas, Elephants, Frogs, Crocodiles, Tigers, Snakes and even Panthers and Parrots. Students took turns naming the animals and adding them to our jungle wall next to our circle time space.

Nine Fed his Orangutan some grass before putting him on the jungle wall.
Alice Fed her Elephant some grass too.
I-Aun also fed her butterfly some grass.
We have enjoyed taking our small world
animals for a Jungle walk while singing “walking in the jungle” around the
classroom. Students enjoy listening to the animal sounds to guess what they can
hear, and then finally running away from the tiger.
Cooper, Taj Nine and I did a demonstration for the class how to take 3 steps forward and then 3 steps back.
Taj was pleased to find that it was the frog that we heard in the song.
This time Peach had the frog we were looking for. She
was also very pleased.
Our final project this week was to turn into
lions! Students were very excited to paste pieces of paper on plates around
their pictures to look like a lion. Everyone did a great job with very little
guidance and they were patient enough to complete the project themselves
without giving up.
Feeding bear.

Drinking some magic potion to fly.
