Blog 3.2: May 4th- 10th      ___

Our Jungle Animals unit has been going along very well. Students enjoy the musical frog hop game. I was impressed at how well the students did playing this game! All our chair have a number on them and each student gets a frog with a number, 1 - 2 or 3.

The students hop around the chairs with their frog while the music is playing.

When the music stops -  they have to find a chair with the matching number as quick as they can.

Then the music starts again and we all go back to hopping around again until the next time.

We have been practicing holding pens and markers correctly with a three finger grip and experimenting with drawing shapes and lines on paper. Students even had a chance to make a simple flower by themselves.

Last week we got a special chance to have our PE lesson outside in the "big kid" outdoor gym. It was quite exciting for the students with a nice breeze too.

It has been fun talking with the students about what their favorite animal is. Although their favorite sometimes changes each day- who can blame them? There are so many animals to choose from.  It’s great for their confidence to give their opinion and speak out during circle time.
