Blog 3.2: May 4th- 10th ___
Our Jungle Animals unit has been going along very well. Students enjoy the musical
frog hop game. I was impressed at how well the students did playing this game! All our chair have a number on them and each student gets a frog with a number, 1 - 2 or 3.
Then the music starts again and we all go back to hopping around again until the next time.
We have been practicing holding pens and
markers correctly with a three finger grip and experimenting with drawing
shapes and lines on paper. Students even had a chance to make a simple flower
by themselves.
Last week we got a special chance to have our PE lesson outside in the "big kid" outdoor gym. It was quite exciting for the students with a nice breeze too.
It has been fun talking with the students
about what their favorite animal is. Although their favorite sometimes changes
each day- who can blame them? There are so many animals to choose from. It’s great for their confidence to give their
opinion and speak out during circle time.
