Blog 2.7: February 29- March 1st

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Charlaine Reid, but the students and staff all call me Miss Charlie. I am from Canada, but I have been living and teaching abroad for 12 years in Korea, Vietnam, China and now Thailand. As I have been a substitute teacher for Ascot this year- the students in our nursery class already know me and are familiar with me.  I am so pleased that it has been a smooth transition for the students to change their teachers since we have also introduced a new TA in our class, Miss. Sophia. Sophia has been teaching at a bilingual kindergarten in Bangkok and she is now very eager to get to know all our students and help them to learn and grow.

I believe in open communication with parents, so please do not hesitate to contact me for any reason, by either stopping by the school at pick up time or sending me an email at : reid@ascot.ac.th. I will also continue to post weekly blog updates each Tuesday to let you know what we have been learning about in class.

I am so happy to have the opportunity to take over such a lovely class with such fabulous students!  I am sure we are going to have lots of fun for the next two terms!!

Best Regards,
Charlie Reid
