I hope you all had a festive and relaxing holiday break and are geared up to hit the ground running this term. I want to extend a warm welcome to our newest student, Wen Wen, who had a great first day in NB.
If you have not done so already, I ask that you send in a sitting cushion for your child to use during circle time. Circle time is an important part of our Nursery schedule. We sing, read, and discuss the upcoming day each morning in class. Any shape and color is fine to bring, as long as it is a good size and comfortable for your child to sit on with crossed legs. This week we will be starting our Term-long unit of Food and Around the World. We will be reading and doing activities centered around a fable called, Stone Soup. This is a story that helps remind us why it is important to share and work together. You can help at home by discussing some of the foods you eat together as a family, and asking for your child's input when planning dishes to shopping for food.
